When ordering apparel for an event, it is always a hope that the individuals receiving the apparel will wear it far past the event, instead of a one-and-done situation 🙂 We’ve all been there folks….you know the shirts that you might have gotten in the past from a walk/run or a company picnic but immediately go home and throw in the trash because they are not soft or the design isn’t cool.
In this post, we are super excited to share about another organization we have the privilege of working with on custom apparel, and their experience ordering for a Winter retreat!
Well, this organization made some simple decisions in their order process that made all the difference in how the apparel was used! Hint: their shirts were a HUGE hit! 🙂
But, lets talk a little bit about them for a second…
About NIYFC:
YFC/USA is a chartered program of Youth for Christ International, tailored to reach youth in urban, suburban, and rural settings. With over 1,861 paid staff members and 16,571 volunteers, they serve in over 100 countries around the world!
The North Iowa Chapter was started in Mason City in 1987, and serves 5th-12th grade students from a ten county region. YFC combines healthy relationships with creative programs to help young people make good choices, establish a solid foundation for life, and positively impact their peers. Ultimately, YFC seeks to engage these young people wherever they are found as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Situation:
This past Winter, NIYFC was preparing for youth retreat that turned out to be a very memorable weekend for the dozens of youth attending. Since this retreat happened immediately after Christmas and New Years, the NIYFC team wanted to keep a “holiday” theme for their order. They thought about a current trend in winter fashion designs (cross-stitch), and used that to inspire an awesome holiday-themed design.
This design was fun and relevant, while keeping with their branded logo and being unique to their event. With a design so fitting, it was already a “given” that people would want to wear the apparel more than once, but NIYFC took it one step further.
They chose to have it printed on one of our super-soft Custom Next Level 50/25/25 Tri-Blend Long-Sleeve Hooded t-shirts.
When most people think of a hooded shirt, thoughts of thick, stiff fabric, a baggy silhouette and puffy kangaroo hand pouch come to mind. However, with the Custom Next Level 50/25/25 Long Sleeve Hooded T-Shirt, throw all those thoughts away because this piece of apparel features super-soft 50/25/25 fabric, a tailored fit and no puffy kangaroo pouch (which increases the printing area on the front). This sealed the deal, and their group was in love with outcome of their order!
Our team had a blast helping put together this order, and the shirt/design has been one of our favorites, too! Most importantly, the shirts were a huge hit with the kids that received them, and they continue to wear them to school, events, and even church!
We like to call this scenario and “Order WIN”! 🙂
